Melissa A. Crosby
Melissa A. Crosby (born August 20, 1972, Killeen, Texas) is an American board-certified plastic surgeon, specializing in reconstructive surgery for patients with cancer and restorative cosmetic surgery, and a published author. She served as a physician at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2011 to 2015. ==Early life and education==
Crosby was born in Killeen,Texas. Growing up in a military household, she spent most of her childhood traveling all over the United States with her family.
She obtained her degree in Zoology from Arizona State University and graduated summa cum laude in 1995. She earned her M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2000. She finished her integrated surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2005. She followed it up with a microsurgery and reconstructive fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, completed in 2006.
